What We Do

The goal of The New Theatre Group is to partner with outstanding local playwrights and actors to produce original work specific to the artistic group. The shows are cast before writing begins and the playwright allows themselves to be inspired by the artists involved. We create quality productions that are specifically tailored to each actor and venue. The result is much more rewarding because it is wonderfully personal, collaborative, and unique.

We have been commissioning and producing world premiere plays by local writers since 2006 and hope you will join us as we move forward with this process of developing new and exciting work.
